Here’s my take on the finest dehumidifiers for 10×10 grow rooms.

Have you been experiencing poor crop yield or stunted growth in your grow tent, or any other issues that hinder your plants’ development? If so, excessive humidity might be the villain.

Particularly for marijuana plants, high humidity can be incredibly detrimental. These plants require varying levels of humidity throughout their growth stages. If you’re in a high-humidity climate, a dehumidifier can be a real game-changer for your grow room, enhancing your plants’ performance.

When it comes to dehumidifiers for 10×10 grow rooms, my top recommendation is the Makayla model. It’s relatively compact, so finding a spot for it isn’t a problem. Plus, it boasts a larger-than-average water tank capacity, allowing it to operate for extended periods before needing to be emptied.

Not sure which dehumidifier to get for your 10×10 grow room? Well, you’re in the right spot. I pour time into testing, researching, and reviewing everything there is to know about dehumidifiers to help you make the most rewarding purchase.

So, stick around and let me share my insights on the top-notch dehumidifiers for 10×10 grow rooms.

Makayla Dehumidifier
For 10×10 Grow Rooms

BEST OVERALL

Here’s my hands-on experience with Makayla’s dehumidifier for 10×10 grow rooms.

Looking at it, you can tell this is an all-inclusive package. It has a robust water tank, an oversized central air inlet for better airflow, and a host of handy features that make removing moisture from your grow room a breeze.

You might not be too fussed about the design of a dehumidifier for 10×10 grow rooms, given that it’ll mostly be tucked away. Yet, there’s something to say about this dehumidifier’s design.

It comes with a larger air outlet than most dehumidifiers I’ve encountered. Not only that, but it’s also angled sharply. I won’t pretend to understand the physics at play here, but the results are indisputable.

The water tank is accessible from the back, not the most convenient but functional. The fact that it’s completely transparent is a boon as it lets you detect any mold growth or residue much faster – a crucial factor as any mold could be catastrophic for your plants.

In terms of capacity, for a dehumidifier of this size, it does pretty well with a tank that holds just under 1 liter. That’s more than adequate for a 10×10 grow room. And given that it can remove around 300 ml of moisture per day, you’ll only have to empty the tank once every three days, at most.

Rated for spaces up to 240 square feet, its performance in a 10×10 grow room is excellent as the unit isn’t pushed to its limits.

I must say this is one of the speediest dehumidifier units for 10×10 grow rooms available. It cuts through moisture levels with ease, reducing them to target levels quicker than any other unit I’ve tested.

For commercial growers looking to economize, Makayla’s efficient design is a godsend. It’s not power-hungry, and I didn’t notice any significant spikes in my power bill.

Draining the water tank is a breeze, though I would’ve liked the option of continuous drainage.

As for noise levels, even at full tilt, it’s pretty quiet, never exceeding 35 decibels – impressive for a unit of this size and performance.

The Makayla comes equipped with an auto-shutdown feature for when the water tank is full, saving your grow room from potential water damage that could devastate your crops.

While not crucial for a 10×10 grow room, it does sport multi-color LED mood lights – a fun addition. Plus, a small front window works as a water level indicator, giving you a quick heads-up when it’s time to empty the tank.

To sum it up, Makayla’s 10×10 dehumidifier is the sure bet for anyone seeking a comprehensive solution. It packs all the features and performance you could need, and more. Despite lacking continuous drainage, it compensates with an array of other features and impressively low operating noise.

Pros
  • 860 ml water tank
  • 240 square feet coverage
  • Unique outlet design for improved air circulation
  • One of the fastest dehumidifiers in its class
  • Removes up to 300 ml of moisture from the air per day
  • Produces less than 35 decibels of noise
  • LED mood lighting
  • See-through tank lets you notice mold more quickly
  • Low power consumption
Cons
  • Continuous drainage would have been a nice addition

Tabyik Dehumidifier For 10×10 Grow Rooms

BEST BUDGET

Here’s my personal take on Tabyik’s dehumidifier for 10×10 grow rooms.

At first glance, you’ll notice that it offers many of the same features as our top choice but comes in at a slightly reduced price. It’s proven itself as a reliable alternative for 10×10 grow rooms, and that’s why I’m happy to highly recommend it.

Looking at its design, you’ll see it’s a tad larger than the Makayla unit. If you’re tight on space in your grow room, this might be a point of concern.

However, the water tank, which is conveniently transparent, wraps around the entire unit, giving you an exceptional view inside. The air inlet isn’t as large as on the Makayla, yet it still ensures decent air circulation. I never encountered any inconsistency in moisture removal in a 10×10 grow room.

The benefit of its larger size is reflected in the water tank’s capacity, which is a full 1 liter. But bear in mind, you’ll have to empty it more frequently compared to our top choice (I’ll touch more on this later).

In terms of coverage, it has enough muscle to accommodate a 10×10 grow tent. Rated to dehumidify around a 280 sq-ft space, I did observe a minor performance drop in spaces exceeding 250 sq-ft. While this is still twice the size of a 10×10 grow room, it lags behind our top pick, which is worth noting.

However, where the Tabyik doesn’t lag is in its speed. It’s quick to remove moisture from any space. The manufacturer claims it can remove up to 450 ml of water per day, even outpacing our top pick.

That said, here’s why we still rank the Makayla higher: due to its ability to remove 450 ml per day and a tank capacity of 1000 ml, the Tabyik needs to be emptied at least once every two days, compared to the Makayla’s three. Considering the Makayla’s performance is more than sufficient, we preferred the convenience of less frequent emptying.

Another point for the Makayla is its power efficiency. This budget-friendly Tabyik model, with its slightly superior performance, draws a bit more power. It won’t leave you broke, but it does consume slightly more power compared to the Makayla.

Disappointingly, like the Makayla, there’s no option for continuous drainage on this dehumidifier. So, you’re stuck with manual draining. Fortunately, the front positioning of the tank makes this task somewhat easier.

Noise-wise, Tabyik’s dehumidifier is impressively even quieter than the top pick, staying under the 30-decibel mark.

Even though it’s a budget-friendly option, it doesn’t skimp on special features. The automatic shutdown feature, which turns off the unit when it’s removed around 700-800 ml of water, ensures there’s zero risk of overflow or leakage.

Another neat feature is the multi-color LED lights. They flash red when the tank is full, signaling that it needs emptying. As a bonus, these LEDs can also provide mood lighting or serve as a nightlight for your plants!

In summary, the Tabyik dehumidifier is ideal for anyone after a high-performance unit that’s easy on the pocket. While it lacks some conveniences offered by our top pick, this is the only compromise you’ll be making.

Pros
  • 1 liter water tank
  • Removes up to 450 ml of moisture per day
  • Covers up to 250 sq-ft of space
  • Fully transparent tank lets you catch mold or contamination a lot quicker
  • Produces less than 30 dB of noise
  • Fairly power efficient
  • Multi-color LED lights
  • Flashes red when the tank is full
  • Automatic shutdown feature
  • Budget-friendly price
Cons
  • Might need to be emptied a bit more often compared to our top pick
  • Slightly higher power consumption

EasyAcc Dehumidifier For 10×10 Grow Rooms

WORTH CONSIDERING

Here’s my hands-on experience with the EasyAcc dehumidifier for 10×10 grow rooms.

When I first laid my eyes on the EasyAcc, I could see it’s a beast. It might be one of the bigger units I’ve tried out, but it backs up that size with performance. We’re talking a more substantial water tank, improved coverage, and all the fancy features you’d expect from a top-tier dehumidifier.

Design-wise, if your plants have a discerning eye for aesthetics, this EasyAcc model is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. It has a neat and simple design that doesn’t gamble on riskier stylistic choices.

The controls are just as intuitive, sporting only two buttons: one for power and another for managing the LED lights.

The clever name ‘EasyAcc’, I believe, refers to how easy it is to access the water tank. It slides into the front of the unit like a drawer. This makes it the champ of hassle-free regular emptying.

The water tank capacity is just a touch under 1200 ml. This puts the EasyAcc right at the top in terms of volume for 10×10 grow room dehumidifiers.

And, unlike the budget-friendly Tabyik, it has an ideal moisture removal rate that matches its tank size. It’s designed to extract about 400 ml of water from the air daily. So, if my calculations are correct, that gives you a full three days before you need to empty the tank.

The coverage capabilities of the EasyAcc are also a significant step up. It can handle up to 320 sq-ft of space.

While you’d only need about a third of that for a 10×10 space, the superior performance of this dehumidifier ensures flawless operation even in less demanding scenarios.

Speed-wise, this dehumidifier is a speedster. Switch it on, and it will rapidly drop the humidity level in your grow room to optimal levels!

Initially, I assumed this beast would gulp down power, but I was pleasantly surprised. Given its high-performance nature, it consumes a fair amount of energy, but it’s actually in line with other less potent dehumidifiers I’ve tested.

Regrettably, even this pricier model does not offer continuous drainage. However, as I mentioned earlier, the front-facing water tank design makes it straightforward to remove, empty, and replace.

Noise levels are a tad above the other units I’ve featured, but I’m willing to overlook that due to the EasyAcc’s high performance.

It’s far from deafening and doesn’t disrupt your conversations. It just emits a smidge more noise than the less capable models.

Now, for special features. The EasyAcc is one of the few dehumidifiers I’ve tested that boasts a washable filter, and the only one that made it into my Top 3. This means no worries about purchasing replacement filters. You can wash the filter at your leisure, ensuring a germ-free grow room.

This premium 10×10 grow room dehumidifier also takes a cue from budget models. It sports a similar LED setup, flashing red when the tank needs to be emptied.

The unit automatically shuts down once the tank is full. And finally, it utilizes a special semiconductor design that boosts efficiency and optimizes performance, even in high-humidity environments.

In summary, if you’re someone who accepts nothing but the best, the EasyAcc dehumidifier for 10×10 grow rooms is your go-to. It’s more potent, covers a wider area, and requires less frequent tank emptying than any other model I’ve tried.

Pros
  • 1200 ml water tank
  • Can remove as much as 400 ml of water per day
  • Covers up to 320 sq-ft of space
  • Easily accessible water tank
  • Less frequent empty cycles
  • Simple, understated design
  • Intuitive controls
  • Reasonably quiet
  • Reasonably power-efficient
  • Integrated LED lights
  • Washable filter
  • No need to replace the filter
Cons
  • Makes slightly more noise than our top pick
