SEAVON Dehumidifier For
3×3 Grow Tents
BEST OVERALL
At A Glance
Seavon really went the extra mile with this dehumidifier. It is smaller than most, helping with placement in 3×3 grow tents. The performance is still really high though, rivaling that of even larger dehumidifier units.
Design
Seavon’s design team deserves a raise. This unit has a unique look, with the see-through water tank taking up the entire base of the unit. This has the obvious benefit of letting you catch any mold or other buildup in the tank more easily.
The use of high-quality plastic keeps the weight low, and the footprint small. The design and dimensions are perfectly suited to smaller spaces, and the built-in handle only adds to the ease of transport.
Lastly, the inclusion of multi-color LEDs may not matter much for use in a 3×3 grow tent, but it’s always nice to have the option of RGB lighting!
Capacity
The small size and lightweight build do mean you’ll have to contend with a slightly smaller water tank. Although, 1 liter is still more than enough for a 3×3 grow tent, and we never felt like we were having to empty the tank too often.
Coverage
This dehumidifier offers way more coverage than you need for a 3×3 grow tent. It is rated to cover around 270 sq-ft of space, which gives you a lot more power and performance in reserve.
And in our experience, high performance dehumidifiers running at lower settings actually work a bit better than less capable units being pushed to the limit, so this is a good thing.
Speed
The speed with which this dehumidifier removes moisture from the air is perfectly in line with other units of this size. It makes short work of even the most humid of spaces, and outperforms most of its competitors.
At the high end, it can remove around 450 ml of water from its surroundings per day, which is plenty for a 3×3 grow tent.
We appreciate the inclusion of power modes, which let you tailor the dehumidification to your specific needs.
Efficiency
If you have a 3×3 grow tent, odds are you are trying to stay within a predetermined budget. If so, you’ll be happy to know that the Seavon is quite the efficient little dehumidifier.
It won’t draw a ton of power, and we can attest to only a negligible increase in the power bill. So if you want to dodge hefty power bills for your 3×3 grow tent op, this unit is worth looking into.
Drainage
Drainage on this dehumidifier is handled manually. There is no option for continuous drainage, which is a shame.
However, in a space as small as a 3×3 grow tent, the voluminous water tank of this dehumidifier takes a fair bit of time to fill up. Rest assured, you won’t be required to empty the tank that often, even if you live in a particularly humid area.
The ergonomic design of the water tank also means that when you do have to drain the tank, it’s easy and quick.
Noise Levels
If the wee…tomatoes…in your 3×3 grow tent require absolute silence to get a good night’s sleep, this is the dehumidifier for you. Even with the high power mode enabled, we never registered more than a dull hum coming from this dehumidifier.
A silent dehumidifier is also essential if you don’t want the cops raiding your marijua…tomato growing operation.
Special Features
This unit has a smart water level sensor integrated into the water tank that lets it automatically power down when the tank is full.
And lastly, this dehumidifier for 3×3 grow tents has one of our favorite features, i.e. a washable filter. Washable filters are always preferred for 3×3 grow tents, since they can be washed more often, helping counter mold and buildup of contaminants that could harm your reefe…tomatoes.
Who’s It For?
Seavon hit it out of the park with this dehumidifier for 3×3 grow tents. It sports surprisingly high performance for its size, has an attractive yet functional design, and also comes with a washable filter!

- Customizable LED lights
- Compact and easy to set up
- Budget-friendly
- Whisper quiet operation, especially in the low power setting

Pohl Schmitt Dehumidifier For 3×3 Grow Tents
BEST BUDGET
At A Glance
Pohl Schmitt’s dehumidifier for 3×3 grow tents is another awesome option. It isn’t quite as capable as the Seavon, but it isn’t too far behind either. Add to that the fact that it is a lot cheaper than the competition, we’re sold!
Design
Just don’t expect supermodel good looks from this budget 3×3 grow tent dehumidifier. In fact, it doesn’t use the highest quality plastic, and the only LED lights you get are tiny ones that let you know if the unit is running or if it needs to be emptied.
But the real benefit of this dehumidifier is just how lightweight and compact it is. Moreover, it does have a (slightly tinted) see-through tank that lets you catch mold quicker.
Capacity
Water capacity is only about half that of the Seavon at 500 ml. Sure it’s lower than the top pick, but it’s actually still enough for spaces as small as a 3×3 grow tent. Just be prepared to have to empty the tank a bit more frequently than with larger units.
Coverage
The tank may be small, but the coverage rating is surprisingly high for a unit of this size. It is rated to cover about 200 sq-ft of space, so you can expect consistent moisture removal from even larger spaces.
Speed
The manufacturer-quoted daily moisture removal rating is 10 ounces. Again, that’s more than enough for a 3×3 grow tent, and the budget-friendly price means you’re getting a pretty good ‘performance per dollar’.
Efficiency
The power consumption of this dehumidifier might as well be less than a lightbulb for all the effect it has on our power bill.
Even in very high humidity scenarios, the power draw of this unit never got too high.
Drainage
Manual drainage is your only option for emptying the tank. We usually hold out hope for continuous draining, but it would have been a miracle if it was featured on this budget-friendly dehumidifier for 3×3 grow tents.
Noise Levels
We found that the peltier setup this dehumidifier uses is pretty much noiseless while operating in normal conditions. Even when it is pushed to the limit, the sound barely gets above a whisper.
Special Features
High-tech features aren’t really this dehumidifier’s strong suit. The most you can expect is an auto-shutdown feature that is enabled when the tank fills up.
Besides that, the only special thing this dehumidifier offers is high reliability and performance.
Who’s It For?
If you lead a frugal lifestyle, and need an inexpensive dehumidifier for your 3×3 grow tent, Pohl Schmitt’s unit is the one for you. It isn’t the fanciest thing in the world, but has more than enough performance where it counts.
Pros
- Can remove 10 ounces of moisture per day
- Covers up to 200 sq-ft of space
- 500 ml water tank
- Budget-friendly
- Very lightweight and compact
- Easily accessible water tank
- Peltier technology eliminates the need for a compressor
- Extremely quiet dehumidifier
- Auto shutdown feature for when the tank is full
Cons
- Not the most feature-rich dehumidifier
Gocheer Dehumidifier For 3×3 Grow Tents
BEST PREMIUM
At A Glance
Gocheer’s dehumidifier for 3×3 grow tents may be on the pricey side, but we think it’s more than worth it. You get higher water tank capacity, a few extra features, and higher coverage that lets you use the thing pretty much anywhere in your house.
Design
The design of this dehumidifier is pretty simple and straightforward. The dimensions are a bit taller, which might actually help you place it in the tight spots of your 3×3 grow tent.
Three large and centrally-mounted LED indicator lights make it a lot easier to figure out whether the unit is running or needs to be emptied at a glance.
And while the tank is see-through from the rear for better visibility, a small window up front is also pretty useful for checking the water level at a glance.
Capacity
This dehumidifier’s capacity easily blows the competition out of the water. It is the largest tank we have seen in any 3×3 grow tent dehumidifier, measuring around 2000 ml.
And the benefits of such a large tank are as you’d expect. For one, you don’t have to empty the tank nearly as often as with other dehumidifiers.
And no matter how humid a space is, this dehumidifier can handle it.
Coverage
The higher performance means you can use this dehumidifier in larger spaces. In fact, it is rated for up to 680 sq-ft of space.
You might think that’s overkill for a 3×3 grow tent. And while we would agree with you, we find that under stressed high performance dehumidifiers last a lot longer than less capable ones that need to work harder to achieve the same effect.
Not to mention, you can use this dehumidifier in larger spaces like bedrooms, living rooms, and even hallways.
Speed
This is the fastest-acting dehumidifier we tested for this comparison. Period.
It is rated to remove as much as 1000 ml of water from the air per day, putting it right up there with the highest-performing units we’ve ever tested.
If we were nitpicking, we would have said that this unit should have had adjustable power settings, but that’s just us.
Efficiency
The larger the dehumidifier, the more power it is bound to draw. That’s to be expected.
So the Gocheer really surprised us with its conservative energy consumption. It won’t undercut the smaller units any time soon, but compared to other dehumidifiers of its size, it’s downright economical!
Expect a slight increase in your power bill but nothing too crazy.
Drainage
At this price point, we cannot excuse the absence of continuous drainage, especially since similarly-priced units offer this feature.
Manually emptying the tank is also slightly harder, owing to the larger size and higher volume. That said, you’ll only be emptying it every other day, since there isn’t much moisture in a 3×3 grow tent.
Noise Levels
If you plan on using this more capable dehumidifier while sleeping or in the living room when you have guests over, you won’t have to worry about excess noise.
Even though it’s a high performance dehumidifier, it is still very much a quiet one.
Special Features
Gocheer outfitted this dehumidifier with a significantly larger air outlet, which makes for a noticeable difference in the air circulation. It also helps this dehumidifier more effectively remove moisture from the air in your 3×3 grow tent.
It uses higher-end semiconductor condensate technology, which enables faster dehumidification, better efficiency, and a lower operating noise.
And finally, this dehumidifier will automatically turn itself off when the water tank is filled, helping avoid any leaks or overflowing.
Who’s It For?
We think this 3×3 grow tent dehumidifier is for the person who also wants to use the unit in larger spaces like bedrooms, living rooms, and hallways. And even when you’re using this dehumidifier in smaller spaces like 3×3 grow tents, the higher performance ceiling means you get higher reliability and longevity.
Pros
- 2000 ml water tank
- Can cover upto 680 sq-ft of space
- Removes up to 1000 ml of moisture per day
- Easily accessible water tank
- See-through design lets you keep an eye out for any buildup
- Water level indicator
- Simple design that is easy to place anywhere in a space
- Semiconductor condensate technology used
- Better efficiency and performance
- Virtually noise-free operation
- Fastest moisture removal capability
- Larger air inlet for better performance
Cons
- A bit more expensive than most other dehumidifiers for 3×3 grow tents
- The lack of continuous drainage is disappointing, especially at this price point
