This is a review of Miro Humidifiers– the most hygienic humidifier you’ll ever come across.

We’ve stringently tested humidifiers of all shapes and sizes in our quest to find the perfect humidifier for arid regions.

Now, we believe Miro’s the humidifier that can meet all your needs.

The Miro NR08M is a powerful humidifier that combines innovative design and technology and ticks all the right boxes.

It’s arguably one of the best overall humidifiers on the market. This ultrasonic, cool mist humidifier is the perfect cure for nosebleeds, dry skin, and irritation caused by dry air. Additionally, its modular design gives it an attractive look in all settings.

In this review, we’ll focus on some unique features of this humidifier, a few of its shortcomings, and how you can get the most out of this humidifier.

So let’s dive right in!

Product Overview And Consensus

The Miro is a cool-mist humidifier providing 600 square feet of coverage, which is ideal if you want to store it in your bedroom or a small studio apartment. The water tank – or bowl, in this case – has a capacity of 1 gallon and is enough to last the day.

At minimum power, this capacity allows the Miro to function for up to 24 hours without needing a refill. While this operation time drops to 8 hours at maximum power, it’s still enough time to get a good night’s sleep without worrying about refilling the bowl.

Although it barely produces much noise, you can buy and attach a separate module to the nozzle to make it virtually noiseless—perfect for babies and those who have trouble sleeping.

The Miro also automatically shuts down when the water level drops too low, so you don’t have to worry about turning it off manually. This is because the humidifier’s body floats on the water inside the bowl. So once the water levels drop below a certain level, the humidifier unit stops floating and automatically turns the humidifer off—now that’s what we call innovation!

In terms of looks, the Miro has a notably elegant design. It comes in cream white or black, which looks elegant in any setting. Furthermore, a soft LED illuminates the humidifer to whatever color you want so you can turn your Miro into a wonderful night lamp.

Even after switching off the LED, the Miro emits a faint, soft light that helps you locate the humidifer at night and avoid accidentally knocking it over.

One definite shortcoming of the Miro is its lack of built-in humidistat. As a result, the humidifer won’t show you the room’s current humidity level.

However, a separate humidistat is exceptionally cheap to buy and can be placed anywhere in the room to get the same benefits. Plus, built-in humidistats tend to be inaccurate due to their proximity to the humidifier, which skews the reading.

Features

Disassembly

The option to disassemble a humidifier entirely is a feature that most humidifiers lack. This is particularly important because high moisture levels can become a breeding ground for mold and microbes. Most experts thus say it is essential to clean your humidifier every 2-3 days thoroughly.

While most humidifiers allow some degree of cleaning access, some parts are left completely inaccessible by design. These nooks and crannies can become breeding grounds for harmful bacteria over time. Attempting to clean these parts often risks accidentally damaging the electronics.

However, magnets hold Miro together, making it extremely easy to assemble and disassemble. In addition, since all parts of the Miro are waterproof, including the fan and touchscreen, you can thoroughly wash every part of the humidifier without damaging them.

The disassembly feature makes the Miro extremely hygienic and easy to maintain.

Modular Design

What makes the Miro extremely versatile is its modular design. Of course, we’ve already mentioned that you can easily disassemble and assemble this humidifier , but did you know that you can buy different add-on modules depending on your requirements?

Apart from the noise muffler mentioned earlier, the unit has Bluetooth, MiroT connectivity, and an IoT chip.

The Bluetooth chip lets you control the Miro with the phone app while inside your home. However, suppose you want to integrate your Miro with your home automation system.

In that case, the MiroT connectivity chip allows you to connect the humidifier to your WiFi while also making it compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant!

Therefore, you can remotely turn the humidifier on or off or change the fan speed and mode whenever you please. Plus, the Bluetooth module is perfect for living in areas without WiFi connectivity, such as RVs and mobile homes.

Ease of use

Unsurprisingly, this humidifier is also effortless to use. It comes with tastefully designed touch controls on the front, which, by the way, are completely waterproof. Therefore, you can refill the bowl without worrying about damaging the electronics.

Additionally, you can refill the bowl from the top without turning the humidifier off. Simply pour the water from a bottle or flask into the openings of the water bowl and let the humidifier do its job. This saves you the hassle of removing the tank – as with most top or bottom fill humidifiers.

The Miro NR08M uses its patented aerodynamic design to achieve the maximum level of humidification. As a result, the mist nozzle points upwards, preventing any water or residue from spilling on your floor or table.

Also, the Miro is made from BPA-free, food-grade plastic, which means it is free from harmful chemicals.

Alternatives

LEVOIT Smart 6-litre humidifier

The Leviot is an excellent alternative to the Miro due to its versatility. This humidifer allows you to switch between warm and cool mist, unlike the Miro, which only uses cool mist.

Compared to many other humidifiers available, this alternative is renowned for its incredibly quick humidification rate. On top of that, the minimal noise level and numerous remote control options make this humidifier ideal for people of all ages.

With its built-in humidistat, wireless connectivity, and large tank, the Levoit is an excellent option for those who wish to use their humidifier all year round. While the design of LEVOIT isn’t as innovative as that of the Miro, it is definitely a strong competitor.

Vicks Mini Filter-Free Cool Mist Humidifier

If you’re looking for a humidifier for a smaller space, such as a bathroom, RV, or attic, the Vicks humidifier is a great budget option. Made by the manufacturers of the Vicks balm, it provides coverage to space under 250 square feet.

In addition, the humidifer is a cool mist humidifier with a slot for Vicks VapoPads, which helps with easing congestion and skin irritation. Although the Vicks Mini is notably less powerful than the Miro, it’s still a great low-price alternative.

Venta Airwasher LW25

The Venta Airwasher is the perfect fit for those who want more out of their humidifier. This humidifier is also an air purifier, meaning it cleans the air in your room while humidifying it. It’s also relatively simple to clean. Once you remove the water inside the tank and give it a thorough rinse, you’ll be good to go.

Despite being on the pricier side, Venta provides excellent value for its money—especially if you want to go the extra mile to create the perfect environment in your room.

Vornado EVDC300 Smart Evaporative Humidifier

If you’re looking for a more sustainable alternative to the Miro, you can’t do much better than Vornado. This humidifer is an evaporative humidifier, meaning it has greater control over the humidity level without any mist. Moreover, this humidifer only requires 1 watt of power to function and consumes nearly 90% less electricity than most humidifiers.

It also has a tonne of intelligent features, including a smart humidistat that generates a consistent airflow and balances the moisture in the environment.

This humidifier also comes with a 10-year motor warranty, making it one of the most durable humidifiers on the market.

In Conclusion

While no humidifier strikes the perfect balance between price, efficiency, convenience, and coverage, the Miro comes exceptionally close. It’s powerful enough to give coverage to a large room while also providing the option of adding various modules for your convenience.

The humidifier is good-looking and can blend into its surroundings with a customizable LED light. In addition, the innovative design of the Miro makes cleaning as easy as washing the dishes, so you wouldn’t have to put too much effort into cleaning it.

So our final verdict is that the Miro NR08M is an excellent humidifier that provides superb value for your money. So if you want a powerful, convenient, and efficient humidifier, you can’t do much better than this humidifier.
